Finishing mill is situated in the industry zone of Gemerská Poloma in the district of Rožňava.
Main aim of the project was to construct technical-technological unit, which will provide treatment, refinement and recovery of raw talc material in the place of its mining. Newly built plant is located so to follow already existing plant for talc mining. The talc material itself is by its chemical composition non-hazardous inert material. Its proof is use of its modified products in for instance pharmaceutical, cosmetic as well as food industry, and also in many other industries such as paint colours, paper industry, rubber industry, plastics etc.
Different preconditions for the respective steps in processing the raw talc material required construction of several types of object; specifically, crushing and screening, manual and optical sorting, flotation, drying, storage and shipping. Due to increased number of required personnel for operation of the devices and necessity to create background, were constructed social-office building, training building, gatehouse and workshop. Already existing operating building was repositioned within the site. Processing of raw material requires as well properly set up water management, ensuring dust collection and dust exhaustion and suitable transport connection to the site itself and within the individual buildings.
Construction started in February 2016. The works were finished as per the contractually agreed date, on December 20th 2016.
On December 20.-21.12.2016 and 17.1.2017 inspection rounds carried out on all related construction objects, based on which was handover protocol drawn up. By signing the protocol on Tuesday 17.1.2017, the construction was officially handed over from constructor, company Chemkostav, a.s., to investor, company EUROTALC s.r.o.
