Company Chemkostav, a.s. Michalovce implements its first project in Macedonia "Construction and reconstruction of buildings in the prison complex - the detention center IDRIZOVO (area Gazi Baba, Skopje)". On September 16th, 2013 the opening ceremony of the project was held, with the participation of Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, p. Nikola Gruevski, Minister of Justice, p. Blerim Bexheti and Director of the Directorate for execution of sanctions, p. Lidia Gavrilovska.

Project modernization of prisons is devided on three stages. The company Chemkostav, a.s. is a contractor of the first stage of project. The contract of work was signed with the Ministry of Justice - Management of prisons, on August 26th, 2013. The sum of the first stage of project is 695 946 300,00 MKD (11, 316 200.00€) including VAT and completion of work performance provided by contract is within 24 months of the appeal of Beneficiary.
The main objective of the construction is modernization of IDRIZOVO prison, area of Gazi Baba, Skopje, which includes the construction and reconstruction of buildings complex in prison. The subject of the first stage implementation is the construction of a security fence, demolition of existing buildings in the amount of 10 400 m2, construction of new prison facilities for men in open compartments in the amount of 5 550 m2 and semi-open compartments- 4 650 m2 and a refurbished of office building and restaurant in a total volume of 1 500 m2. The part of implementation will also be the construction of infrastructure and wastewater treatment plant for 2 000 people.
