Implementation of noise barriers in the area of expressway R1 completed in advance
Company Chemkostav, a.s. Michalovce has successfully completed contract Expressway R1 Lehota – noise control measures. Building contract was signed with the National Motorway Company (Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a.s.), with contract completion date November 21st, 2013. Based on contract of work, all works should be completed within 12 months from taking over the site (including winter maintenance), but the implementation team managed to finish the project five weeks earlier. Acceptance procedure took place on October 16th, 2013.
The company has implemented the Work not only for Investor´s satisfaction, but mostly for people who live around the section of the expressway R1, with the effort not to complicate motorists crossing this section.
Noise barrier wall will act as a crucial primary measure to reduce noise in the near future and to meet the noise limits for residential development. The wall is performed on the right side of the road R1. The total length of the noise barrier is 1,050.60 meters, of which 547 meters is placed on the ledge of the bridge.
