On August 12, 2024, we took over the construction site for the "PRÚDY Trnava Kindergarten" project. The construction works are to be completed within 12 months of taking over the construction site.
The subject of the project is the new building of a kindergarten with a capacity of 80 children. The object is designed in terms of space, layout and user in such a way that its maximum possible capacity is 120 children. The project also includes a proposal for service housing belonging to the kindergarten (there are 8 apartments on two floors and maisonettes in this part). The building is situated on land in the cadastral territory of Trnava, Trnava, in the place of a previously unused land.
The building consists of two main functional units. The first part, facing south towards the Prúdy housing estate, houses a common dining room, above which there are service apartments accessed by a separate entrance. Likewise, the canteen area, which includes preparation and storage areas, is also accessible separately. The technical background of the building also forms a separate unit. The dining room on the ground floor has the possibility of opening and creating an exterior terrace. At the same time, it is connected to the foyer of the kindergarten, which enables their transformation into a multifunctional space, which can also be connected to the adjacent atrium. Service apartments on the first floor and in the attic are designed as 1-2 bedroom apartments. Some are also equipped with loggias facing east and west. The main entrance of the kindergarten separates the mass of the canteen and the mass of the classrooms. It consists of an open two-story space with a main staircase that is connected to the atrium on the east. The entrance is equipped with a vestibule. On the individual floors, it leads to corridors that also serve as cloakrooms. This space is abundantly lit and allows a view of the greenery to the west. From the corridor it is possible to enter the individual classes and the corresponding hygiene parts. On the ground floor, the corridor is designed in such a way that it can be used as an entrance in case of need for separate operation of classes. On the first floor, the corridor ends with an escape exterior staircase, which is partially incorporated into the mass of the building. On the ground floor there are four classrooms with appropriate facilities and an office connected to the print center. It is also connected to the offices on the second above-ground floor by means of a service circular staircase. At the entrance to the classroom, there is a hygienic area, followed by a multifunctional playroom area, which can be transformed into a bedroom with the help of folding beds. Each classroom is also equipped with a small kitchen and storage space in the form of a furniture wall. There are two classrooms with terraces on the second floor. In the upper part, the classrooms have an open roof space, while there is a mezzanine with a rest area. These classes are mainly intended for older children. The space of the truss in the rear part passes into the open space. This principle of the open space of the truss is also recognized in the meeting room, which is part of the administrative center of the school and part of the corridor. Part of the floor is also a sauna, accessible from one hygienic node of the classroom with the possibility of direct entry from the corridor and connection to the terrace.
